Ingredients
  

  • cups all-purpose flour — structure
  • ½ cup cocoa powder — chocolate base
  • 1 tsp baking soda — lift
  • Pinch of salt — balance
  • 3 –4 overripe bananas — moisture + sweetness
  • ½ cup melted butter or oil — tender texture
  • ¾ cup brown sugar — deeper flavor
  • 2 eggs — binding
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract — aroma
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chunks — richness

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mash bananas. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla.
  3. Add flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda. Mix lightly.
  4. Fold in chocolate.
  5. Pour batter into loaf pan.
  6. Top with extra chocolate.
  7. Bake 50–60 minutes.
  8. Cool, slice, enjoy.

Notes

  • Do not overmix
  • Use very ripe bananas
  • Add nuts for crunch
